Not that I am particularly celebrating my birthdays anymore. Yes it is nice to actually have a birthday, considering the alternative, but growing older is not something that I look forward to. As I grow older, so does everyone else around me--family and friends, and yes, even pets. I know that sounds depressing and I don't mean for it to, butit is just one day less that we get to spend with our loved ones. Colton is growing up in the blink of an eye. He is looking more and more like a little boy instead of a "baby". His mannerisms are maturing as well. Yes, we are well into our "terrible twos" a couple months early, but he hasn't been too bad lately. I heard that with boys, the threes are worse than the twos. I certainly hope not!!!
It would have been nice to have today off--it being a holiday and all. I guess Columbus Day doesn't quite make the cut for a State holiday. We get several others off so I guess it equals out.
Colton has another "contest", aka pageant, this weekend. He got a haircut on Saturday. I got him a little tux off Ebay at a GREAT price and then his "outfit of choice" will be his western wear (20X shirt, Wranglers, boots and his cowboy hat) and he can use his stuffed horse, Bud, to ride. We met with Kim, our photographer, yesterday to finalized his headshot. It was SO HARD to just pick one shot, but I trust her "professional eye" to pick the best one. I know it is all for me and Colton could care less about it, but it is something fun to do right now and when gets older, he can go play soccer or baseball or football and we will leave "contests" behind us.
