Happy Friday

It is finally Friday and I couldn't be happier!! Seems this week has gone by really slow. It is probably because I have all next week off while we are on our cruise. It will be hard to come back to work after being in the Caribbean for a 5 days!! I have slowly been getting everything together that I think I "might" need. I think I have about packed Colton entire room already. I look around and think "well maybe I might need this" and into the suitcase it goes. I even made a checklist, but I am sure I will end up forgetting something. It is definitely going to be an adventure. I will take lots of pictures. Hopefully we all make it back in one piece!!!

Still concerned with Colton's talking as of now. I just feel that he isn't talking as much as he should. He says mama, dada, bird, my mama, milk, and meme (which means either mine or I want it). He knows some animal sounds. His favorite, and best one, is cow for which he moos. He knows dog, sheep and donkey as well. He doesn't really repeat much either. Most people I have talked to said that he is fine, but I just don't know. He understands things, he just can't vocalize them. He follows directions--most of the time. I am just waiting for that light bulb to turn on inside his little brain I guess. I said "well at least he is cute!!"

I will miss reading everyone's blog while we are gone. I certainly will have a lot of catching up to do when we get back. Hope everyone has a great weekend and I safe next week.

  1. Have a great time on the cruise. Enjoy every minute since the time will go by much too quickly. Looking forward to seeing pictures when you get back.

As for the talking, it might take a while. The boys seemed a little slow but they are definitely making up for it now. They are repeating EVERYTHING! Just be patient. He will get there at his own pace.

  2. Do you have any more room to put me in your suitcase? LOL Have a great time, and I can't wait to see the pictures!

  3. oooo a cruise! Hope you have lots of fun!

As for the talking it seems like boys are a little slower on the talking than girls. I only have girls but my oldest is the same age as my nephew and he was always ahead of her physically but in speech she was always ahead. Us girls just like to talk!
