I am so happy that it is finally Friday. It has been a long and trying week. My husband's hip "popped" out of socket on Monday. He went to the ER and they popped it back in. We went back to the orthopedist that did his hip surgery today and he said that he has no idea how or why that would have happened. He put him in a hip brace and hopefully that will keep it from happening again. He hasn't been working in a month and half and the prospects for going back anytime soon seem slim as of right now so of that is a HUGE stressor for me on top of an already stressful period with Colton and his unending and abounding energy and I am still concerned with his lack of vocabulary. I know that he is as smart as a whip, but he still just isn't talking like he should be for his age.
I decided to particiapte in 5 ? Friday, so here goes---
1. How many pets do you have? We have one dog, a Jack Russell named Madison, and I still claim my Springer named Taylor, even though she lives at my Mom's house now because Madison decided that no longer liked other dogs after living with Taylor since she was a puppy. We also have two horses. One I have had for 20 years and the other for 18 years. I am thinking of getting Colton a fish for our house as well (he has one at Grammy's and really likes to feed it.)
2. If you could switch places with anyone in the world for one day, who would it be? It would have to be someone REALLY rich so that I could deposit some money in my account before we switched back LOL!!! I would like to see what it is like to be famous, so maybe someone like Jennifer Garnder ( I know random right?!?!)
3. What is your favorite money saving tip? Don't spend it!! I always tell my husband, yes you may want it, but do you NEED it? He hates it when I say that. I am EXTREMELY tight with my money--except when it comes to buying Colton stuff.
4. What do you want your kids to be when they grow up? I really just want him to be happy and healthy--is that a cop-out statement? Sure I would love if he was a very successful doctor who cured cancer or any other type of disease, but in reality I just hope he is happy in whatever career he chooses (and makes alot of money so he can support me when I am old!!) :o)
5. What is your favorite quote? If so and so jumped off a bridge, would you jump to? Just because someone else does something, does that mean you have to do it as well?

Back to School
Back to School Tag I was tagged by Sarah @ http://sarahaburger.blogspot.com/
Answer these 5 questions below. Then tag 5 blogging friends to play along. Be sure to let everyone know who tagged you.
What was your favorite back to school item to buy? I think it would have to be the clothes. I used to LOVE clothes (before I had Colton, now I NEVER buy clothes for myself).
What was your favorite subject in school? Does recess or P.E. count LOL!!! I liked science classes--I guess that is why I am a scientist now.
Did you ride the bus or get a ride from Mom/Carpool? I rode the bus in elementary school, middle school and high school--until I was 16 and could drive or unless I conned my Mom into coming to get me.
Do you have a sack lunch or cafeteria food? A little bit of both if I remember correctly until high school, then I never really ate lunch.
What is your favorite memory from your school days? Playing on the softball team, playing on the playground, field days--just being a kid and not realizing how fast time went by.
You are supposed to tag 5 friends....so I am going to tag my friends:

What a week it has been!!!
It has been a while since I have blogged. With this past week I have had, it is lucky I am awake and functioning.
Colton has decided to hit the "terrible twos" early. He has always been a wild man, but lately his favorite word is "NO" and he has become very willful. If you try and take something away, he says "NO" and makes a protesting sound. He has spent a lot of time in time-out lately. Sometimes if he does something that is "naughty", he will go get his time-out chair and sit in the hall ready for you to start the timer. This morning he was expectionally cranky and/or whiny. I am not sure what is up with that.
On Tuesday, I took Steve to the hospital for his hip replacement. We got there at 9:30 and his surgery was at 12:30. They took him back almost immediately and I sat and waited until they came and got me. They came about an hour later and I sat in the pre-op room with him until he was ready to go down and get prepped for surgery. His surgery started at 12:45 and he was done by 2:30. He went into recovery and I waited, and waited and waited. finally at 5:00 they said that I could go back and see him. I only got to stay 15 minutes and then I had to go back out to t he waiting room. The problem was that they didn't have a room ready for him yet. I went and got something to eat and finally at 7:00 they took him to his room. I stayed in there about an hour and then I left to drive home (an hour away) and relive Mom who had Colton all day of course and then she had taken him back to our house and put him to bed. I got home a little after 9 and I was exhausted. Of course it was one of those times when you are so overtired that you can't sleep, so I was awake most of the night.
Wednesday I went to work and had planned to take Colton down to Gainesville so Steve could see him and we could visit. When the doctor came and talked to me after the surgery, he said that he would be in the hospital 3 or 4 days. Well when we got to the hospital, Steve decided he was ready to come home and they released him!!!! He was NO WHERE NEAR ready to come home. He was still in a lot of pain, he can't go to the bathroom by himself and he had major surgery a little over 24 hours ago. Of course Colton was having none of being still while we waited for his discharge papers. He kept pushing buttons and running around down the hall. He took Steve's walker and was pushing it up and down the hall. I took him to get some dinner thinking that when we got back, Steve would be ready to go--which he wasn't for almost an hour. Finally they released him, with no pain pills to take with him at all.
Last night he was still in a lot of pain and he went in to go to the bathroom and was stuck on the toilet for an hour and half!!! I was asleep and I said to him this morning, why didn't you wake me up and he said that he dozed off and his legs feel asleep. He was in so much pain this morning that he was sweating. I came in to work and then left to get his prescriptions filled and I will take them to him at lunch.
I am ready for about a week long nap--which of course I WILL NOT GET. I have two babies to take care of when I get home :O)

Song lyrics
I don't know how many of you listen to country music, but George Strait has a new single out and the lyrics made me stop and really listen and appeciate every day and what goes on with myl ittle man and how fast time flies!!
He looks up from second base dad’s up in the stands
He saw the hit, the run, the slide there ain’t no bigger fan
In the parking lot after the game he said“Dad I thought you had a plane to catch”
He smiled and said “Yeah son I did”
Life’s not the breaths you take
The breathing in and out
That gets you through the day
Ain’t what it’s all about
Ya just might miss the point
Try’n to win the raceLife’s not the breaths you take
But the moments that take your breath away
Fast forward fifteen years
And a thousand miles away
Boy’s built a life he’s got a wife
And a baby due today
He hears a voice saying “I made it son
He said “I told you dad you didn’t have to come”
He smiles and says ”Yeah I know you did”
Just like it took my breath when she was born
Just like it took my breath away when dad took his last that morn
Life’s not the breaths you take
The breathing in and out
That gets you through the day
Ain’t what it’s all about
Ya just might miss the point
If ya don’t slow down the pace
Life’s not the breaths you take
But the moments that take your breath away
He looks up from second base dad’s up in the stands
He saw the hit, the run, the slide there ain’t no bigger fan
In the parking lot after the game he said“Dad I thought you had a plane to catch”
